Banish Your New Year Blues

With a Theatrical Workshop, or two! We have scheduled two fascinating, one day theatrical masterclasses in late January.

Take the chance to learn a range of essential directorial skills and techniques from Pitlochry Festival Theatre's own Artistic Director, John Durnin on Saturday 23rd January. This Directing Masterclass will cover production conception, text analysis, actor communications and technical delivery. Ideally, participants should have some experience/understanding of theatre production, but it's not essential!

The following day, learn how to slap and punch before moving onto more intricate moves using swords and daggers with PFT's Education Director Drew Scott in a one day Stage Fighting Masterclass. An experienced theatre professional, Drew will teach you the basic skills and safety techniques you need to create truly believable stage fights.

Why not give the perfect gift of a place on either or both of these one day masterclasses to friends or family who love theatre and performing, or treat yourself - it's an ideal way to kick start the new year and banish those new year blues! Tickets can be purchased from box office on 01796 484626 or online.

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
